I started my YM2000 yesterday; it had been sitting for about 4 months. After running for about 5 or 10 minutes I noticed oil leaking out around the oil filter. I shut down the engine and when I pulled the oil dipstick it literally sounded like an air hose had burst, almost launching the dipstick out of my hand. The pressure bled down in a couple of seconds, the air was clean and showed no signs of smoke or exhaust. The oil looked normal as well. Any ideas of what this problem may be? Thanks.

You must have the crankcase breather tube plugged. Older machines had a breather cap on the oil filler.
Normal oil has surfactants and will attract water over time. One of the reasons it is hard on machinery to sit and needs to be run once in a while. The expansion and pressure in the crankcase is due to the expansion of air and water to vapor in the crankcase. ....

I located the crankcase breather tube and discovered that dirt dobbers have completely blocked the tube. Thank you for your assistance. ....
